I'm Lynn Shuck and I see bodies.
What does that mean?
I see how bodies move. I see imbalances. And I can help you find better ways to move, reducing pain and improving function through healing and balance.
As a former professional dancer, I studied own body to make the shapes that would get me hired. I realized very early on that I also had an ability to see how other dancers moved. And I realized I could communicate what I saw so they could adjust their bodies and perform better.
For nearly 30 years, I've been using my eyes to help all kinds of folks undo movement patterns that limit function. I have worked with my own body as well, overcoming numerous dance-related injuries, depression, and even a frozen shoulder.
I am most passionate helping everyday folks find more ease and joy in their bodies and in their lives. To achieve that, I draw from every aspect of my own training. Waking up muscles that haven't been doing their job is hard. If it were easy, we wouldn't need help learning how. Getting muscles to work in a balanced manner so that the skeleton is stacked correctly, and so energy flows freely requires time and attention. It also requires guidance from an experienced pair of eyes.
I'd love to help you discover a more balanced body, and a better daily experience of living. There are different ways we can work together. I currently teach Healing and Balance Yoga classes online and in-person. I lead workshops fairly regularly throughout the year. And I work privately, training individuals and creating specific programs so they can move better throughout their lives and enjoy the journey.
